Healthy Habits: Dr. Adam Kuspa shares his motivation
Taking care of your health is a priority and nobody knows that more than physicians and healthcare providers. It can sometimes be difficult to find ways to stay healthy, so we’ve asked members of our Baylor College of Medicine community to share what they do in their daily lives to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Dr. Adam Kuspa is senior vice president for research at Baylor.
Q: What is your go-to healthy breakfast?
A: Oatmeal with apples.
Q: What is your favorite type of exercise?
A: Running. I start slow and then taper off.
Q: What keeps you motivated during your workout? (music, tv, phone call, etc.)
A; Thinking about problems, being outdoors.
Q: What activities do you do when you can’t fit in a full workout?
A: I try to take the stairs when I am running around Baylor.
Q: What is your favorite healthy snack?
A: Fruit or carrots
Q: What hobbies do you have to help you relax?
A; Crossword puzzles
Q: What is your go-to Houston restaurant for a healthy meal?
A: Seasons 52
Q: Do you use a pedometer or Fitbit and what is your daily step goal?
A: No, I just jog 3 miles away from my house and the only way that I can get back and get on with my day is to run back.
