It can sometimes be difficult to find ways to stay healthy, so we’ve asked members of our Baylor College of Medicine community to share what they do in their daily lives to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Tatiana Schnur, Ph.D., associate professor of neurosurgery and neuroscience at Baylor, shares some of her healthy habits with us.
Q: What is your favorite type of exercise?
Q: What keeps you motivated during your workout?
A: Listening to music.
Q: What activities do you do when you can’t fit in a full workout?
A: I walk around my neighborhood and/or the Baylor main campus.
Q: What have you been doing to stay healthy during COVID-19?
A: I increased the speed of my running sessions and the number of walks around my neighborhood. Both have helped me cope with the pandemic.
Q: What is your favorite healthful snack?
A: Mixed nuts.
Q: What hobbies do you have to help you relax?
A: I read fiction and non-fiction books.
Q: What is your go-to Houston restaurant for a healthy meal?
A: Pondicheri because there are tasty, vegetarian (and non-vegetarian) options.
Q: Do you use an activity tracker or Fitbit and what is your daily step goal?
A: I use a Fitbit. My daily step goal is 5,000 steps.
