How to respectfully engage in stressful conversations
Politics. Love. Life in general. No matter how much you may try to avoid it, there is always the chance that one or more of these topics will come up at gatherings and parties during the holiday season.
While some of these conversations might be casual, you may also find yourself in a tense, uncomfortable exchange. Laurel Hyle, assistant professor of pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine and chief of ethics at Texas Children’s Hospital, shares advice for how to respectfully handle these discussions.
