Before students start their official education at Baylor College of Medicine, there is orientation.
In this photo, courtesy of the Baylor College of Medicine Archives, first-year medical students pose during some fun in the sun. The photo, which appeared in the 1983 Aesculapian Yearbook, was snapped at Huntsville State Park.
On Monday, Baylor’s School of Medicine class of 2019 will join the ranks of the students who came before them. Our students will travel to The Piney Woods of East Texas and The Retreat at Artesian Lakes for the 13th year to get to know their fellow classmates and third and fourth yearPre-Clerkship Resource Network group leaders .
The orientation retreat features professional facilitators and the PRN group leaders coordinating group activities in an experiential learning, outdoor environment. Focus will be on the effective development of group and personal relationships and fun.
