Introducing Progress Notes

Center for Human Immunobiology opens
The new Center for Human Immunobiology, which will be a central hub for immunology research throughout Texas Children’s Hospital and Baylor College of Medicine, has opened. The center has a super resolution imaging microscope – the first of its kind – that allows for imaging of the smallest proteins inside a single human cell.
At the ribbon cutting, Center Director Dr. Jordan Orange said, “All of the research under the TECHCHI umbrella focuses on a central theme: deeply understanding the biology of the human immune system for the development of customized and targeted therapies to ameliorate pediatric and adult disease.”
