Baylor international pediatric AIDS program celebrates progress, expansion
This week in Africa, the Baylor College of Medicine International Pediatric AIDS Initiative at Texas Children’s Hospital marked a special anniversary and announced the expansion of the program in Africa.
Founded by Dr. Mark Kline, now chair of pediatrics at BCM and physician-in-chief at Texas Children’s Hospital, BIPAI operates a network of clinical centers in Africa and in Romania that treats more than 168,000 HIV-infected children – more than any other organization worldwide.
More details on the program and the events, plus more photos, can be found in this news package.
