Biking to work? Join us May 9
Baylor College of Medicine’s Recycling and Sustainability Program will join the City of Houston in celebrating Houston’s Bike to Work Day Friday, May 9 with its own Bike to BCM Day. The ride will be in honor of Baylor’s chief science writer and cycling enthusiast, Ruth SoRelle.
The event encourages riders to ditch their daily commute in favor of bicycling to the office to help raise awareness for the city’s bikeway network.
Baylor cyclists will ride with Mayor Annise Parker from Memorial Park starting at 7:15 a.m. to the Houston Central Library and then ride four miles to Baylor for refreshments.
If Memorial Park is out of your way, ride your own route and meet up with the other cyclists at the Baylor College of Medicine courtyard at 8:40 a.m.
For more information and to sign up, contact Maria Pesantez at pesantez@bcm.edu.
