Throwback Thursday: A first-hand look
Helping prepare the next generation of healthcare professionals has been at Baylor College of Medicine’s core since our inception. And 1970 was no exception.
This photo, courtesty of the Baylor College of Medicine Archives, featured in the BCM Aesculapian yearbook from 1970, captures some of our younger students getting a lesson in one of our teaching hospitals. With white coats, ties and serious faces the students are ready to get first-hand experience in practicing medicine and patient care.
In addition to education, part of our legacy is strong partnerships with affiliate hospitals. This month is a special time for the College and our affiliate hospitals. On July 1, our new residents arrived at our eight affiliates and our other students moved up in the training hierarchy.
