How to cope with emotional issues due to balance disorders

Melody Fregia, a licensed professional counselor in the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine, says the emotional symptoms that patients with balance disorders exhibit can often be alleviated with therapy.
“Balance disorders can be very isolating and affect just about every aspect of a person’s life. The goal of therapy is always to help people restore their relationships and get back to doing things that are really important to them,” she said.
