Online event provides perspective students insight into admissions, College
In collaboration with other biomedical graduate programs across the country, students can learn more about graduate educational opportunities at Baylor College of Medicine Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences through an Internet connection.
Our Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences will be participating in two free virtual grad school fairs this month:
Oct. 22: Joining more than 30 other graduate institutions online for the Biomed Virtual Grad Fair.
Oct. 28: Joining 16 graduate institutions for an online session exclusively for people living with disabilities.
Beth Franks of Baylor College of Medicines Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences said the virtual fair helps eliminate the financial obstacle of traveling for students and helps expand the College’s accessibility.
College representatives use tools like chatrooms, private one-on-one messages between representatives and prospective students, and video chatting software to create a more personal, “face-to-face” connection.
The virtual fair offers the opportunity for potential students in the biomedical sciences to obtain answers to admissions questions, as well as meet school representatives in a live chat session.
Baylor first helped organize the virtual fair in 2012.
