Throwback Thursday: Studying in the 1950s
This Throwback Thursday we travel back to 1956. The year that saw the television premiere of the Wizard of Oz, the election of Dwight D. Eisenhower, Elvis Presley’s first appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show and the Dow Jones Industrial average closed above 500 for the first time. And at Baylor University College of Medicine, our students at work.
From the 1956 Baylor University Round Up yearbook, courtesy Baylor College of Medicine Archives we get a sneak peak of what learning was like without computers and other technology.

And I’m old enough to remember it all, even tho I did not go to Baylor. Happy New Year.
