Throwback Thursday: Big Meeting

So, what’s going on here? This group of men, looking very Mad Men with their pipes and crisp suits, were photographed during a presentation from the 1967 Aesculapian yearbook, courtesy of the Baylor College of Medicine Archives.

What do you think was being decided here? Is this when a budget line got approved for a new program that went on to save countless lives? Is this where a debate over new procedures or treatments was decided? Is this when the decision to add a new wing to a building happened?

Or maybe they were just debating having beef or poultry on the catering menu for an event…
