Gardening provides health benefits at any age

As the summer heat approaches, it may be tempting to avoid most outdoor activities completely. However, gardening can help boost your physical and mental health – no matter your age.

“Being out in nature can reduce stress, reduce anxious behaviors and be a positive social interaction for those who garden with others,” said Dr. Angela Catic, assistant professor in the Huffington Center on Aging at Baylor College of Medicine.
