Throwback Thursday: Monster Bash

Going to a community Halloween party is one of the best parts of October in America. Between fall festivals, “trunk or treat” gatherings or office parties, there’s always a fun way to have spooky fun.

These photos from the Aesculapian yearbook, courtesy Baylor College of Medicine Archives, show Baylor medical students enjoying themselves at parties through the years. The first is a weird one – somehow bobbing for apples turned into dunking for apples. Pumpkin carving contests are a staple of parties like this, as the second and third photos from 1990 and 1992 show.

We’re still having fun like that at Baylor. Check out photos from our more recent Halloween festivities from 2014, 2015 and 2016.
